B&M Boston's Best Baked Beans

Tasting Notes

Molasses, Earthy, Smoky

Weekly Review

I've received accusations that I'm in the pockets of Bush's Baked Beans because the last two have been their beans... things will change today with the review of one of my all-time favorites, the B&M Boston's Best Baked Beans. Boston, affectionately known as "Beantown", actually got that nickname from this style of beans, which makes use of the molasses that Boston was known for in the early days due to it being a cheap and readily available sweetener.

These beans are earthy, sweet (maybe due to the molasses?? DUH!), and pair well with B&M's other product: CANNED BROWN BREAD. In fact, one of my favorite comfort dishes is some Boston baked beans, a few slices of canned brown bread, and some hot dogs (red snappers cause I live in Maine and have to rep now) chopped into the mix. People outside of New England typically go "WHAT THE HECK" but it's so dang good. Anyways, these beans get a near perfect score!
